Baked Mont D’Or
A fondue in a box!
Serves 2 (easily doubled); preparation 5 minutes, cooking time 30 minutes.
- 1 Mont D’Or cheese
- 2 small or 1 large clove of garlic, sliced
- 50ml white wine
To accompany (as you choose):
- Some nice crusty bread
- Chopping board and knife
- A baking tray
- A fork or spoon for dipping
Preheat your oven to 200C.
Remove all the out plastic wrappers from the cheese and place it (still in the box!) on a baking tray.
Cut some small slits into the rind of the cheese and insert the sliced garlic.
Pour over the white wine and then bake in the oven for about 30 minutes until you can see the cheese start to bubble (it may take a bit longer if your cheese has been in the fridge).
Serve and enjoy with dipping matter of your choice.
